Acne Scars

People that have mild or moderate acne that will recover from this condition will not have a serious scaring problem. Unlike those who have severe acne cannot avoid not having a scar. But with the modern technology there are new acne treatments to minimize scarring and those existing scars and different techniques also to remove scars. There are pimples that leave behind a discolored patch in the skin but this discolored patch is not really scar. Within a year this discolored patch will clear up by itself. There are different ways in treating acne scars. If this acne scars are not too severe you can apply chemical peel. This removes the microscopic top layer of the skin that allows the cells underneath to rejuvenate. And if the scar is too severe this can be treated with lasers or dermabrasion. This lasers can remove the damaged layer of the skin and the skin underneath will be tighten to raise the depression caused by the scar. His process is a bit mild painful that is why the dermatologist can use an anesthetic to numb the pain. It takes 3 to 10 days for the healing process after laser treatment.  Scars that are remove by scraping away the surface of the skin where in the scar occurs are dermabrasion. New layer of the skin is formed to replace the scarring.  Dermabrasion and laser treatment can cause to turn the skin red but this discoloration will disappear after several months.
